Great work! The way you placed the camera makes what seems an ordinary scene to most people, a very interesting photo. Great colors, too. The only thing I really find a little sad is that you cropped of the left side of the log. It really hurts the composition , IMHO. Are the birds pasted in from a different photo?

i like the composition and colors quite a bit. i think it'd be nice to see the beautiful concentric circles at the end of the log not cut off... great shot as is however.
