Ahhh, so it has been restored. It is gorgeous rebecca. I love the B/W version but the colour seems to have more depth and brings out a deeper emotion of what this was used for. Must be the deep blacks and the ornate finishes. The gorgeous blanket is such a touching accent. Sitting on the cobbelstones the image really takes you into a 19th century mindset.

I'll vote for the colored one too. Colored blacks look blacker than black and white blacks and the whole thing looks more somber and ominous. Very nicely done.

Well done, Rebecca. I like this one better than the b&w. The lighting on this seems to be much better to me. P.S. I'm behind on commenting due to Ivan and one of our idiot sons. He decided to stay in his apartment in downtown Mobile, about four or five blocks from the ship channel. Called us every 30 minutes or so scared to death. So, needless to say, mom and I didn't go to bed until after 3 a.m. when the storm changed direction and hit just east of Mobile. The son says he'll leave the next time a storm heads that way.

Excellent capture, Rebecca, especially shooting through glass! I think the colour and b/w both have something to recommend them, I would hesitate to choose one over the other. The b/w has a great "old photo" feel to it, while this one records the actual detail and colour more exactly. Both are good! Dave.

I just now realize you did show us the color, I would still like to see it in all of it's splendor though, in full light. It looks beautiful. Del.
