Hi John, Very creative idea, and very well captured. The cold look of the stainless bars, and the organic pattern in the orange, as well as the warm tone of it create a very pleasing contrast. The tilt in this shot adds a bit of tension, and makes it much more dynamic. Furthermore, I like the simplicity of this shot. Not much to improve upon, only possibly a slightly wider DOF, captureing at least one bar completely in focus. Very good shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

What is good about your portfolio of abstracts is that many, found around the house, are so clean and graphic as though produced in a studio. This is a product, not of your eye as we say, but of your brain. Just as painting is an additive process, photography is a subtractive process where we exclude a lot of distracting and confusing material if we can. You are very successful at that!
