Hi Ronnie,

I was just looking at your photo "Great Blue Skimmer" and it's amazing! I just bought a D100 (I'm probably a little behind the 8-ball buying one this late in the game) with a 28-200 lens. I was wondering if you had the lens extended all the way, and how far away from the subject were you when you took this shot?

Thank you!

Ronnie, this is MAGNIFICENT!! The sort of shot you see in wildlife programmes on TV and I always wonder how they do it. Both you and the subject must have enormous patience to set up for a shot like this. I cannot compliment highly enough.

Wonderful image Ronnie. How do you meter with extension tubes ? this is by far your closest macro that I can remember. and the detail is outstanding. the winged species such as these have not shown up in number yet. Heck, we just had our first Thunderstorm,it finally got warm enough for that !! Not complaining though, 70 - 80 degrees is real nice all summer so far.

Ronnie, this is getting tiresome! Nobody can have so many excellent images! Gosh - don't you ever have any not-so-good images? :-))))

I have but never ever seen something like this - a screen full of blue eyes - absolutely perfect, every little detail.

Outstanding work - but you know that :-))

Congrats.
