Thanks for the comment Gerhard. I understand what you are saying about using a bit more light in the foreground, and I had actually tried that. I found that just using strong lighting from above made the composition much stronger and actually pulled your eye into the flower more. I tend to focus on composition to the point of neglecting everything else. To me a dark photo with no detail in the shadows is much better than a boring perfectly lit image :-)

Dear George, what a strange but fantastic blossom. Great composition ... just a short comment, I think with a little bit foreground light (perhaps a flash) you can improve the intensity of the green and inside view. Anyway, great work!
