A classic close portrait crop with sympathetic pose. The warm lighting has brought out the skin textures well. The blown highlights, which Mary pointed out, would be less of an issue in a high contrast B&W version. Dropping the aperture to remedy this would also have helped with DOF.

if i could conjure up the things in life that would make it all ok,
i would. please believe me.

instead we wait patiently, yes, patiently for as impatient as some of us may seem. it is much more patient than would could be. what choice have we but follow the tide in and out?
not much at all.

but that's ok. because we live it together.
