About I was taking shots in Via Dante (Milan) during twilight while I noticed a particularly strong light from a shop hitting the street and the walking people.
This was creating a strange effect that I've tried to capture; you can see it on the woman with her son in the middle of the composition. They seem to be alive on the screen...or it's only an impression of mine...?
Thanks in advance...even just for reading this comment. :)

I see what you mean Paolo the light does make them stand out. Their pose as well makes them almost look like a French street painting. I tried a crop of the 3 people in the middle with the church behind. It looked good except there was too much motion blur for a close up. A great full of interest picture with lovely colours and atmosphere, but this goes for all your excellent portfolio.
Regards,
Graham.

Bella realizzazione Paolo!!
A presto
Paolo

Ottimo. E non deve essere in focus. Saluti, Han.

Excellent night snapshot! Real document of people walking in a big city without posing.
Very well done! Regards, Hugo.

Wow Paolo, this is awesome. If you could somehow get a flash shot at the same time and use the details from that to paint in the faces and other details on the 'moving' figures, the illusion would be complete.
Well seen and captured.
Warm regards, David

ps- my most recent shot (a frozen moment in time) owes credit to you as an inspiration for the toning (I'm not there yet, but I'm learning).

Ciao Max

Excellent shot, Paolo! I agree with your comment on the people in the middle. They seem to pop up out of my screen. Better, yet: the other figures which have a stronger motion blur seem to vanish into the background) Amaising use of light in combination with shutterspeed. Besides, I think it is a perfect composition. A schoolbook example. Technically, I believe this is a truely perfectly executed shot! Huge dynamism and very, very appealing. Into my favourites....

Cheers,

Hugo

I find this shot very impresive!
It is good light coming from left and the man is watching it like that there is something special...
It is also very nice that beside people you have great DOF.
Because of the movement the people faces are not recognizable what makes it even more secret and majestic!
