This is one of those rare times when I'll disagree, if you can get the same shot without the grain and just a beautiful purple sky with that horizontal lightning you'll have a superb image, its not that I dislike the grain but I can see something amazing without it.

This is a very dramatic scene. I'd be tempted to experiment with a graduated neutral density filter - it might reduce the noise in the sky, while allowing the lightning to come through, and also allow the skyline and buildings to expose correctly. Just a thought, if you feel experimental.
(You asked about the white patches at the top of my photo of C. as Arjuna - they are pieces of gold leaf, and belong to the texture layer, which is a photo of the leather skin of a ceremonial drum in a local temple. The cracks and colours of the leather make what looks like the cracks in an old wall - I hope. I was trying to create the impression that was an old mural on the wall of some deserted palace. It would be resonable to find gold leaf in such a place, so I left them there - except they don't seem to look like gold leaf!).

Nice lightning capture here Y.D. I agree that the grain does look good, but maybe remove the black specs from the lower left side?..Your brave to be up on your roof during this time.!!!.
