Chris; the detail, colors, and composition here are superb here. I think the Cathedral may be leaning just a smidge to the right?-- easily correctable-- and you must have already done an excellent job correctiing for perspective distortion? I really really like this view-- incredible architecture.

Chris,

this one I like more. The perspective correction is not quite so obvious here (to me at least), and I think the additional detail is a big bonus over the wider shot. Excellent work all round ( sorry - all square!!)

Being a person of no structure or organization, I am not usually drawn to perfectly balanced, and framed photographs. HOWEVER.....this is so beautiful, so intricate, and so detailed that I cannot help but be impressed with it. The structure is so perfectly in balance, and your photo reiterated that balance... down to the very last detail. It is so well exposed as to highlight all the intricacies of the construction. Very well done, very well illuminated, very weel presented. Awesome.

Yup, I straightened the edges! Couldn't bear to see them slopin' in like that! Also, I'm a bit keen on symmetry!!
Thanks for your comments everyone!!

Wow, Chris. Really nice. How far back did you have to be to get this magnificient building in the frame. Also, curious as to how you avoided the dreaded tilt. Nice detail and great light.

Regards,

Karen

This is positively superb. It captures that unique facade beautifully. Is there very slight pincushioning that makes the tops of the two towers on either side look as if they are leaning outwards a little? This church is unique in England and I cannot imagine this photo being bettered... Well done indeed! (I even like the frame you've chosen for it!)
