Thank you to everyone for your comments.
To Bob: Thanks for your kind words, I've commented on your photo and that was a very good shot too!
To Geza: Yes, this technique is something that's very easy to do, and produces some nice effects. It's definitely something that I want to experiment with more in the future.
To Onur: Yes, the results can be quite good with this technique, and it's so simple to do! I'm only just starting out with this, but I'm sure I can improve me composition and get better shots in the future!
To Keith: Thanks for your kind comments. I didn't think the photo looked that dark on my PC? I know it's not a bright scene, but with a 3.2 second shutterspeed, I would would have hoped to have got all the light and detail that was possible, and again, it didn't look too dark on my screen - maybe I've just got the brightness turned too up high? ;-) I'm glad that you do read my emails, as you've ordered the camera I recommended - very nice! ;-) I'll look forward to seeing what you produce with it!
Thanks,
Stephen

Stephen, you have excelled with this one. The green fern on the rock is wonderful, and the soft angel hair water really holds the eye. Your mastery of the G5 is growing with every posting.
The photo is a tad dark, but to be honest I find this really appealing, the contrast between the heavy shadows and the light on the ferns especially.
Good work.
btw - I ordered a 10D today, 2-3 weeks delivery :-(

Wonderful. I shall try that technique. The contrast between water and grass (fern) are splendid.

Nicely done...love the soft flow of water...I can almost hear the rush of water as it breaks over the rocks and plunges into the pool...very relaxing.
