Thanks for the kind comment Sophie. About all we have in Wales are sheep and waterfalls and I get enough bad jokes about welsh and sheep so kinda stick with the waterfalls :) Howie x

I love the contrast between the general sharpness throughout the image, especially the foreground, and the milkiness of the waterfall. I usually give up after 3.30pm at this time of year, obviously I'm just being lazy.

I took this photo at around 4pm (goes dark at around 4.45pm here in the uk) and in thick woodland, hence the 5 seconds. This is the NEF capture which is similar to the jpg it also captured. Hope this helps. ps I metered off the rock in the middle if thats any help.

Hi Howie,may I ask you kindly,what is the light situation at the time you have taken this fine shot ?
with 5s at ISO 200 even in the dim light my D300 will produce a blown highlight in every image,
