I see what you mean, Gustavo! This is exactly what I think too about classic macro photography.
The thing is that this here is not really classic macro. It is a wide angle that just happens to include an object in the very near field. But the proportions are completely different. So the question is: Is an exaggeration of size due to short distance already a macro? Hard to say. The main object appears as dominating as on a macro, but ist relationship to the rest of the scene looks different - very different.
I'll keep on trying "macros" with a wide angle. Let's see what this brings.
Cheers!

Yes, I couldn't resist "correcting" the overexposure! ;-)
Thanks a lot again, Andre!

I don't like macros with a complete softening of the background, Gustavo. I guess I find the separation by light and contrast much better, and so I go this way around. Of course sometimes the background scene has to be taken in a completely soft focus too, but in general, I don't like flat images of the real world, I guess.
But this time I think you are right. I softened the background quite a bit and the attached image looks better to me. It made the definition of the main object better, though it also weakened the mood of a view out of the window. What do you think?
Thanks a lot again!
