About I was hoping the BIRD on the top of the rock would stay long enough for me to get this shot of a boulder in a field that I presume was hit by lightning some time. Maybe it is somebodys PET ROCK.

sandstone in OZ is sometimes soft and likely to fracture, but I can't help feel this had a bit of help.

Hi Jonh,

Very interesting scene. The forces of nature are incredible, and I like how the tree finds enough nutrition to grow on the severed boulder. Nice shot.
