I really like this one! It's Orwellian, but in a less threatening way.

Thilo,
Great shot! Its full of power and drama. Looks like somthing from one of the old Star Wars films. I can imagine storm troopers swarming out! I never went to this museum but you seem to haev captured the essence of its architecture well.

Thilo, you would enjoy one of the more famous buildings we have here in Tokyo. It's the tower office block built by a condom manufacturer. Form follows function, if you can imagine what I mean. You've captured the competing forms very well here.

Hi Thilo,

Well no wonder it looks like film then :)

When I read your about, I was concentrating on B&W conversion and I assumed digital. My eye just skipped right over the description of the camera you used. At least I was observant with the image:)

Well seen, you are a master in this genre ! Love the super-wide perspective, the interaction of shapes/ textures here. Agree on Hugo´s statement, the halo is a bit distracting

Cheers

Looks good in B&W Thilo!
The conversion almost gets a film type grain effect.

A beautiful composition and a very artful use of b/w. It has been years since I visited Amsterdam. This museum alone seems a good reason to return.

Best wishes,

Hola Thilo
Buenísimo el título. Una batalla arquitectónica entre sus texturas, formas y materiales.
El halo que rodea al edificio superior, hace que este destaque del gris del cielo, y le da un toque dramático a la batalla.

Un saludo amigo

Hi Thilo, The slight halo around the building is putting me off a bit. Although it does make the building stand out strongly against the sky, it does cast an artificial feel over this image. So you were in Amsterdam and didn't call? heheheh:)

Cheers,

Hugo
