Nice open feeling to this capture. The curving sections in the foreground, looping off into the distance create a sensation of emptiness. The silky cloud action in the sky is a great added touch to this simplistic capture.

Very nice car and audio setup! For me I guess it's natural since I work at an automotive repair shop which also specializes in high performance, audio, and security. Damn these expensive hobbies, haha (well I guess lens prices for Pentax aren't too bad compared to Nikon/Canon)

Hey Terry,

Yep, I desaturated the ground to try and give a raw feel to the image. But that's it for color manipulation - the car color is the actual color, Turquoise Metallic. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Marcus ... Yup, this is my little rocket, nice and shiny after 4+ hours of washing and waxing

The amazing thing about this photo is that it's sunny in Pacifica - LOL. Great work again Marcus - I never tire of seeing the photographic results of your dedication to birds.

Breathtaking view, with your trademark vibrant colors. Top notch landscape as always Judi.

Such a raw and dark feel and atmosphere to this - heightened further by the angle at which this clock tower was captured ... all of which make this a great image. Excellent work!

Great presentation Sam - but above all, I really like all the quality photos placed in the poloraid-style frames. They remind me of photos I've seen in calendars of Hawaii - great stuff, and congrats on the award.

Nice wide-angle and perspective Galal. I like the repeating lines of the pier going off into the distance and the varying colors produced by the sea and sky. Well captured.

Definately a tranquil feeling to this simplistic and effective capture. I like the subtle ripples throughout the surface of the water. Well captured Rina.

Great work again Marcus. I think I've seen some of these hawks in the city recently (I live near the Zoo/Beach) - they get pretty close but I haven't really gotten a good look at them however. Next time I see one, maybe I should try capturing it (photography-wise of course haha).

Also, appreciate your recent comments on my photos, especially the F1 shots - means a lot coming from a skilled panning photographer such as yourself. Thanks again!

Excellent shot Cessy - you're really capturing the atmosphere and culture of this area with your photographs. Both the color version and B&W work for me. I hope to see some more!

Hi Marcus,

I think I like this version better - the brightness adjustment really shows off the colors and details of the bird's plummage much better IMO. Great capture!

Beautiful tones and wonderful blur in the background. The difference in clarity and blur really adds impact to this shot - very well done Mohammad!

Love the mood to this capture Roberto - the darker tones set the atmosphere, and yet, the dandelion adds a little warmth to the image. A perfect contrast IMO. Very well composed and captured.

Wonderful DOF use here to have the flower stand out. Great lighting and excellent clarity. I think it should be in the Minimal DOF project instead of Maximum DOF however

Hi Sam, thanks so much. I guess I lean towards more simplistic shots - but that's what I love about them, they can really make an impact. I really appreciate your generous comments, thanks!
