A great mood here. The situation depicted in front of us cannot be realized quickly, so we 'play' for a while with the image. The feeling of cold and humidity is everywhere, the children , engrossed in their play, remind us sth of our own forgotten childhood. The lines here , are confusing, however we feel reassured by a tone of childish carefree spirit.Marvellous job.

great composition, and perspective. The colors are very interesting, do not distract the focus of the photo, the colors do not add noise, they just reinforce the concept of the photo, I just love this photo, congrtulations.

Breathtaking, Michael!

You and Julian are my heros! :-) I just saw your amazing new "Masterclass" book this weekend; my 17-year-old son and I looked at it together at our local Barnes & Noble over coffee (for me) and latte (for him :-) We were both knocked out by the beautiful photos as well as their instructional value and the excellent accompanying text.

I've stared dropping hints about how nice it would be to get a copy of your book for Fathers' Day....

Thank you both for setting a great example for all of us, and thanks for sharing your photos with us on Usefilm.com

Best regards,
SteveR

This is so fantastic view!!!
I love those poppies and how they pop up in the green field. Wonderful place and sky...

I can?t believe that you are the writer of the "Master photography", are you?? :-)
I?m trying to learn about photography and this is one of my favorites books here.

Regards,
Márcia.

I know your photographs without looking to see the photographers name; they always contain great subject matter, have great colour range, exhibit great technique and are expertly composed. Another beautiful photo Jan

Hi Pat, this image does look like an IR shot, but that's something I'm guessing at, as I'm a know-no at IR. Very strong composition, with the barren and empty land. Desolated, isolated and a huge, powerful solitude. A pitty it's rather small, but a great shot, and nice postprocessing. I think the B&W works very well there.

Cheers,

Hugo

This is an amazing landscape (or dunescape ;-) Colours are glorious, the shadows add so much depth and loneliness. It's a beautiful place, I wish I could visit a real desert some time.

Congratulation!

Alex, I like this photo very much. I was just up in DC myself and attempted a few photos of the monuments. It was just terribly cold and my patients was challenged by the weather day and night. I thank you for getting the shot I could not. I really like the dispersed lighting effect along the wall. My Marine Corps flag makes a good contrast. This is a very nice photo.

I was happy to see you on the front page so I came to congratulate you and wanted to start the exciting story at the beginning so here I am...First of all congratulations for the BIP! Your story is intriguing, I'm anxious to see what happens next, does he reach the gate? I love the dark deep blues and the colors from the IR filter, moody and beautiful, the angle is interesting, wonder if that's what a snake's view is like? A beautiful composition and story Thilo...I saw what Edward said and I have to agree, I'm so new to photography, that I find myself a little intimidated by your photography as well....

All the elements are here for this perfect shot, The sky, the two sunlit buildings, the boat with a red stripe, pier 17, and the reflections in the water. All come together to create a moody scene with impact. congrats.

Spectacular array of color and depth! This has that "daybreak" feel to it, as though challenging a new day. The somewhat muted tones and soft reflections allow the viewer to feel the textures and enjoy the richness of this classic skyline. Beautiful job, Bogdan! ..Brad

Hi Art, Very strong capture, classic and powerful. I like the lighing, and the city covered in the haze. (Note: I noted the sunny foreground....) Nice work on the frame, kind of wall poster type. That fits very well with this image, I think. Good shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

Really exceptional work drawn from a nice portfolio. It reminds me of the work of Cartier-Bresson, a csual moment with seeming cosmic proportions. I'm also reminded of the very best of the humanist landscapes in National Geographic.

I love the way the trees vertically hold the image togeter giving it a strong graphic structure. One improvement you might consider would be to somewhat lighten up that dark patch in the center foreground. But this is a minor point in an other wise wonderful image.

On a lighter note, here in NYC, going to work one morning on the subway, I saw a man in a shirt that said, "if there's not soccer in heaven, I'm not going." If I see him again, I'll tell him not to worry.

Thanks for seeing this, sharing this.

Perfect abstract Siamak, perspective for this light shot is great.
May I to encourage you to give titles at least to most of your photographs, then we have also a better perception of the ideas behind them.
Best regards.

A great shot with minimal composition. There is a beautiful light. I like the contrast between the hard details in the foreground and the soft background. I never saw any shots from you, I will come back to visit your portfolio.
Sorry for my bad english.

Awesome!! Yes this is the kind of stuff that gets awards...excellent composition...the trees somehow seem magical...I see an eye in the first one...love the soft moody look of this, the muted colors are marvelous and of course the mist is perfect....the perspective is wonderful, making the trees look like one continuous line, and the road leading the eye through this lovely image...very well done...and welcome to UF..I'll definitley be looking for more of your wonderful work...Linda

Paolo... I looked at the number of critiques and thought 'good heavens' you won't need my little input... However, here it is anyway...

Such a beautiful interpretation of the project... The feeling is most definately one of *Peace and Tranquility*... The light is magnificent, the shadows and colour, moody peaceful, subject a perfect meld in the scene as a whole... and that *waterfall* grain a very intrinsic catch...

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful... :) a very technical term...

This reminds me of my sunlight harbor photograph. I had the same luck waiting for the light to be just right and suddenly a few rays peeked through the clouds. Patience is what great photographers have and it shows here. Wonderful image Kevin with wonderful tones, great mood and it does make you feel cold but warmed by the sun in the back ground. Congratulations on the being the "Photographer of the Day"!!!!

Hi JD,very fine shot, with an amazing sharpness, and colors,
every boat has its own share of colors, except the last one,it seems that as they escape from the incoming storm, the most colorful one comes first,Black and White comes last,my best,
a fine tribute ,to fine photographer,
my regards to both of you,

What a mood, lost love is what this picture reminds me off. The bright rose so well captured in the water with the rain falling around it. Very crispt and excellent lighting to bring out the message. Keep up the good work.

Love the image Chris. Good composition and wonderful colours.Given the clarity and detail you have captured, I find the blur of the person in the shot quite distracting tho.Otherwise a wondeful image- well done.

Quite breath taking. CC
