This is an amazing shot. Well exposed image with very sharp details. I actually liked the ps work because it made the composition stronger by isolating the firefighters. Good work.

Excellent shot of the little warrior. :-) The blur over the hands is adding a hint of motion to the image. Looks great in B/W!

My friend Gustavo, I wish I could understand the Spanish then I could have contributed to the discussion. Fun photo arrangement you have in here. Your little girl is growing up. God Bless.

Magical lighting!!! It says photoart in the category but if lighting was done in PS, I wouldn't have any idea how to do it; it's that good. A++++

Scenery is beautiful. Great job with the exposures. Did you have to him stand absolutely still?

breathtaking shot marcus. i think i like having the darker foliage in the bg which sets off the bird very nicely. i haven't been taking pictures myself, just leaving comments for my old friends on usefilm.

Nice composition Markus. I liked the "beach idyll" image also. That one was very sharp. About the scenery of course first thing I notice is the calmness of the sea. I am tired of facing a mad rolling sea every day. Havent been photographing much at all, I'm glad you are keeping up with the hobby. My best to Hedi and you.
Your old friend,
Lily

Love this shot and how your colors came out. Composition is perfect. You could also try a version with the moon a little larger but that would be tempering.

Great work!

Magical image! Very good composition. could get rid of the wing's elastic ties if you want to further improve the image.

Congratulations on the award. It looks like a painting. Very beautiful image.

My only concern is that there's a tell-tale sign of HDR processing in this image and a few others in your portfolio. So while you are trying to make the image more realistic by expanding the dynamic range (the foliage, water, houses looking great), you introduce other things that make it unreal (like the sky and the seam between the sky and the greenery). I think if you could fix that, this would be a superb landscape shot.

Oh how lovely! Beautiful shot and great job with the image editing . It may also look good with the foliage in b/w and her in color .

Very artistic. I heard it helps to use fill flash to avoid shadows on face when shooting in daylight (yes, sunny conditions too). I don't own one of those flashes but thought I'd pass the info along to you. Sorry if I've repeated something you already know.

Hi Hugo, Sorry for the late reply, I only saw your question today. Yes, he is indeed very red isn't he. Actually your picture of him put him in a much more flattering light. I used a very small amount of gaussian blur on the rough spots of his face and for the color I think I used color balance and pulled down the red slider and tweaked others a little until I got the color right. I can't remember for sure if I desaturated it any. I may have done a little of that also (Image>adjustments>desaturate without touching the hue). I blended my changes using the layer mask>hide all option. Then reveal only parts of the new changes on the face by using the white paintbrush on the black mask. I think it looks better when the opacity of the masked layer is lowered to let in just the right amount of blur. I have a book example which suggests 40%. Again I don't remember if I did this but is something you could try. Sorry if I'm repeating things you already know.

Roby, Happy belated Birthday!! This is done so masterfully. The lighting is very special and painter-like, I love the muted colors and the vignette around the image which only makes it more special. This one goes to my favorites.
