Wow, super sharp, and an interesting shot that you don't see very often. I love the swell of water behind him, filling the frame.

Very captivating eyes, and great use of the whole frame.

I really like these photos that show comparision between parent and child... they will tresure this for years to come and look back at how small those feet really were.
I would maybe look at cropping a little off the top and a little off the right so that the feet weren't completely in the centre.

Not at all.. I wouldn't change a thing in here. The silhouette is a stunning contrast to the vibrant colours of the sky. You did a fabulous job stitching them together.

Your style is certainly unique, and fresh! I like the shadows and layering here... it has a very 3D feel. Is this quite a few different shots of grafitti layered on top of each other? You did an unbelievably awesome job in separating the layers. I would love to know more about this process!

Wonderful job creating a work of art from a picture of a sculpture! I love the soft background, colours and depth that you've added.

Great B&W ... the eyes really stand out.
I wish that the out of focus hands/paws weren't so much in the picture... I think that the main strength is the eyes and the relationship between cat and girl and I find the hand/paws take away from that. Maybe more DOF, which would bring the hands/paws in focus would work as well.
Still, a lovely moment caught forever.

I love the natural frame that is around the baby's face, although I think a slightly tighter crop to lose the extra black at the top would make a neater frame.

Great placement within the frame... and a very cute expresion.

Although the softness is nice, I wish that the middle of the flower was sharp... I think it would stand out so well against the colours of the petals. Great framing within the image!

Very cute close up... what kind of lighting are you using? It's very even and complimentary.
Love those two little teeth poking through!

Lovely close up... and very nice detail throughout her face. Her smile is so natural and her nature is reflected in her eyes as well.

What an interesting looking landscape... those rocks have such a great shape to them!
Wonderful capture with the starfish at the bottom and the centered framing of the starfish works well with the rock in the background.

Fabulous treatment on this photo... I might be the only one, but I wish her other eye wasn't so soft. She has such an intense stare and I think if both eyes were in focus I would feel it penetrating out of the image.

Do you have studio lights as well, or was this done with the external flash?

I am starting to get into portraits and love looking at them when they are done well... like yours are!

I think you have good detail on the bee but the one thing that is bothering me about the image is that it's really busy with the lines of grass and the overpowering flower colours throughout.

Perhaps if you could blur the background a little more, either with a longer lens, different DOF, or photoshop (grin) it would create more focus on the bee itself.

Having followed quite a few insects around myself, I know how hard it can be to get a nice sharp shot, but you've managed that, and done a good job.

Excellent DOF to really add punch to the drip of sap. I like how you've placed the branch in the top right, but I feel like it's maybe just a little cramped. Perhaps it's because of the smaller branch leaving the top of frame.

LOL... I've never heard of a question mark before, but it's in our country! I guess I have to travel to Manitoba!

Great colours and fantastic detail getting in close. I can never manage to sneak up on these guys before they fly away.

It looks maybe a little over sharpened (or it could be my eyes)... still an excellent capture.

I think this is so unique and such a great shot. It's got depth, dynamic angles and great colours. Well thought of, and well captured.

MarySue,
Thanks for the comment on my reflected branch. I've been a slacker as well, in taking photos other than my son, and posting. I'm just finally getting back into the swing of things. I hope to see some more from you soon!
Hope all is well!

Great texture study here. And the colours work well to relay the weathered feel.

The only little crit I have is that the darkest part of the image is right in the middle, and it's very centre heavy because of that. Putting the black on one side or the other would have strengthened the rule of thirds.

Otherwise very well seen!

Excellent lines in this. Not the wrong path at all! *grin* The DOF and composition make me feel like I'm standing on the dock as well.

Hey fellow Canadian!
This is a gorgeous time of year, isn't it? I love the colours and the movement that the ripples add to the image. The touch of leaves in the bottom left is a nice anchor to the reflection.

This looks like a optical illusion painting... very interesting lines and effect! You have a great eye for the graphic nature of images and how to really make them stand out. I'm off to check out the original.
