One of those wonderful emblems...when you see ecstasy you know it's a Rolls Royce! I like how you captured her here with the understated reflections and superb DOF. 7+++

Dear Susie,
This is a beautiful image. I like the mystery that it creates. In a way, this composition is better than your landscape contribution later in your portfolio, as the foreground plays a much more dynamic part in the overall work.
I really like the variety of textures displayed in this photograph, with the focus on the weatherworn drift-log encouraging you to explore it's 'habitat'.
Personally, I wonder if cropping the image a bit more on the right (I've tried this, see attachment), so that the gap between the tree and the side is eliminated, as well as the top edge of the main log. Either that, or include the corner of the main log, as it otherwise looks somewhat unfinished.
Otherwise, congratulations on capturing such beautiful tones, and a moody lanscape. I really like this picture.
Cheers, Alice.

Thank you for the advice Sam III. At the risk of sounding like a broken record in my replies I do have to say that I do not have a program that works like photoshop. No frames, no touch ups...nothing. Most of the photos I put up are exactly as taken as I do not have the ability to "perfect" them. However, if I ever do happen to get my hands on one and need to figure it out I know exactly who to ask! Again, thanks for the advice. It was only one of many of the shots I took of Matthew but was the only one that I had closed in on as I liked the way he had his foot on the case.

Hi Susie.
I Seen this shot while commenting on my friends shots.
I like the idea behind the shot. I might add a few suggestion for you though.
First, Remember that when the subject of the shot( your friend playing the guitar ) Is put at this type of angle, You need to try and get the whole image in the frame. I would have cropped it to where the entire guitar and Case where in the shot, and then put a small dark frame around it. The Frame would have given and edge especially around the Arm area. There are a few other things that you could have done to improve the up-load of this Great Idea. If you would ever like some help on how to Process the shot Prior to up-loading it. Please Let me know. I would be more then happy to help you out! Kind Regards
Sam III

Thank you Rick I hope you get that chance to come and cycle in Canada!! As for a frame, that is a great idea. Unfortunately I don't have a program that has that option...but will when I finally do have the option I will have to repost. Blessings, Susie

That's a great idea Susie - if you can I would go back and get closer to give it more impact, and crop out the baskets. Or maybe by a few, take them home and experiment on the kitchen table! Best wishes, Andy
