Well the photo was taken when i was on holidays, so i can't take another one of it!

what a lovely flower but i want to have a another photo from this photo in one week ;D ok ??
i think this flower will be a very colourfull flower and now that is the problem in your photo its not enough colourfull bur a perfect macro
if it is possibel can you also take a photo from the up side of the flower i think it will be very funny

I'm surprised this hasn't attracted more attention. I guess you don't realize what is there until you click the thumbnail. The somewhat unconventional framing works well for the subject, and leaves draw the eye back to the subject.

The net fixer looks classic and old, the DOF is amazing as the depth here is about 1m as the height of the net at both ends.
which means you need a very shallow dof to reach that effect, i believe it is the shadow of the net on the ground which gives that effect on the background, very simple but effective idea, well done

I miss college...oh so much. and its only been 1yr out.

ROV are cool. I interned on an educational video production hosted by Dr. Robert Ballard (found the titanic for those that dont know). There was an ROV display set up by NOAA I think. May have been someone else. Regardless, I got to play with it, pretty fun little toy...I mean expiencive piece of scientific equipment.
