This is a photograph of a chemical crystal that I grew on a microscope slide by mixing chemical/s to create liquid chemical slurry that I spread on to a 1 inch x 3 inch microscope slide. After the slurry dries I put the slide on to the table of a polarizing microscope and photograph the chemical crystals and the fantastic colors that are produced as the polarized light passes through the crystals.
Thank you Elias Monges.

Dear Suvro Datta

I create abstract photos seen on my usefilm pages by mixing chemicals to create a solution that I spread on to a microscope slide then I let the solution dry. Once the solution dries I place the slide on a polarizing microscope to view the results left on the slide and if the results are good I mount my camera on to the top of the polarizing trinocular microscope and shoot the interesting crystal formations left on the slide. The colors produced are the result of viewing the crystals using polarized light.

Thank you Suvro.
Best regards.

Very unusual image with strong colors. It is almost like an abstract art. You may add some technical details in the "About" field. That will be helpful forothers who want to do similar photography. / suvro at SlideFilmScan.com
