This photo is about the joy of life. Art always brings us exactly what we need. This picture illustrates that concept very well. I like the way the subject is silhouetted against the bright window background with only enough detail to express her enjoyment. Excellent observation, I am sure it wasn't a coincidence.

What a wonderful portrait Paul, I like your choice of backlighting and this is such a classical pose, I can feel the movement. It also conveys the private and introspective solitude that artists are often caught in. Nicely composed...Wonderful image and capture Paul.....Linda

Wonderfull. The colours are wonderfull but the picture is a bit blurry. The tones are excellent but the for example the face of the man is not sharp. The composition is great to, but i don;t see what the main subject is. So that is something to work on, get a main subject in the picture! But no hard feelings, becose i saw you;re latest picture and that one was excellent! Hope to see new stuff of you soon!!

Yeah, this is it, a wonderfull picture! I aprove the choice of b&w becose it gives this picture the look of an old painting, with someone paiting on it! The constrasts are excellent so is the composition. Overall an excellent picture!

Thank yuou, Rachel, for your kind wowrds -- I was using a borrowed dogital -- I have not been able to do much photography at all since tehn -- you might be intersted in perusing a copy of my book on photography ( Writing With Light ) which is pre-digital and available now only from used book outlets like AMAZON.COM -- but you can buy a copy for less than ten bucks -- it's out of print so I no longer receive any royalties -- but I think yhou might find it enjoyable to relive your beginnings in the art of "writing with light" -- also check out my daugher Julia's work on USEFILM. Peace -- Paul

I wish the figure of interest was larger in the frame. Your borrowed digital overexposed the scene, washing out the highlights. I am not sure if the tilt of the camera was intentional or not, usually you need to have straight verticals or else make the tilt a little more severe so that the viewer knows you intended it that way. Your suggests that you are a photographer of long standing. Do you now have a digital camera or scanner?

How nice this is. I like the mist, it looks great. Currently I am working on a Series about mist, my fear is that people may not like the even tones and forget to see the beauty of depth it can create. Flaming red is always a winner. This one is good, you have been fortunate to see that wall, congratulations. Rob
