Well, it sure is high performance!!! Great macro, I guess that 100mm Macro really does its job well if a good photographer uses it!

Classic shot of rain drop, but love how you included a few more leaf. there are some harsh light spot which could have been eliminated if taken when the clouds were out. Keep up the good work.

Look at those color but I think alot more DOF is needed as only part of the fly is in focus. It makes it hard to enjoy the picture. Keep up the good wok.

Beautiful image Joe! Gorgeous color and detail!! Hope you and your family are doing great, things are good here! Had Runie for 10 days, he went back to Tucson yesterday and I am so sad......as is everyone! He and Mason really adore one another and had so much fun together. Have you been shooting any birds? I hope to get some soon, maybe have to go back to the Basin! Take care my friend. Darlene

Thanks for the comments Munzir, but this one is real. I shot it in my front yard this morning, there were no digital enhancements added, just sharpened it up a bit using neat image.

wonderful colors. there is too much light, IMO, and you can't see the rich blue of the sky. Good crop, but I would have taken a most part of the road.. Bye, Ale

I agree Joe, it will be long and hard but it will come back. It may be a smaller city but it will still be New Orleans. We were there this past weekend visiting our son and we rode through the French Quarter and could not even tell there had been a hurricane. I know they weren't hit hard in the Quarter but the tourists seem to be back in full force (as are the National Guard and State Police!) How is everything going with you and your family ? Hope they're all doing o.k. And how is your foot? Hope it's better! Have you been to Lake Martin lately? I haven't yet but do want to go. Haven't had a chance, been helping Mom out at the nursing home. been doing some fishing (and catching....speckled trout!,) AND GETTING READY FOR RUNIE!!! He will be here Saturday and we are taking he and Mason to the camp for a week........can't wait!! You'll probably see a few HUNDRED shots of them! Well take care my friend and I hope we can get together soon to do some shooting! Darlene

Certainly the aging oaks and the antebellum home at Oak Alley are pleasing to look at. Consider returning early or late when the light is not so contrasty and distracting. Also, point the camera down slightly and angle the lens towards one row of trees. Place the house at a rule-of-thirds location in the viewfinder with the tunnel of trees leading to it. Click. B&W brings out the forms of the trees.

Joe, I visited this spot in May 2004. However, I feel that the best shot of the image is taken further back so that you see more of the Alley of Oak Trees.
