Yep, you're right Roger... I had the camera flash on for fill, and tried to move this way and that (except for this one - Skyla just come at me and I wasn't missing it - LOL)... but the late afternoon sun had different ideas... I still gotta a lot of work to do on these kind of issues, but sure am having fun trying!!!

When she would acknowledge the camera, she would turn and smile and say "cheese" - truly adorable

I could see why the DOF of this shot is not accurate,it is the one second,but again the slight blurring serves the propose of your title,and it give that feeling you seek,the look,the dress are all in your favor,

very fine shot,and well presented,the gray tones works very fine with the background,and though the DOF is not that accurate,a little bit of sharpening is needed to correct that,but it works fine,the shot is purely emotional and meant to show that feeling,it works for me though,but one important photography rules,never crop at the joint,and this is the only flaw of this fine shot,
