a difficult subject to compose, the visibility of the thin ice is not very distinguisable from the water... there is not much color or form where light can reflect back.,, I hope you know what i mean.
It is a good attempt but will be diffult considering this situation, to obtain a photograph with a good impact.
nice try though...
thanks for your comment on my photo.
regards..

Thank you for your comment John. Times were a little tough for me for a while, but this was my last roll of Tesco film. I've just this week upgraded to Kodak.

How to improve it? Other than a sheep in the field, nope! It's lovely. A well weathered sign, spuriously accurate distances, and a threatening sky. And I did laugh at the Film Type!

Thank you 1301307 60 for your suggestion. I manipulated it on Photoshop and put it in Grayscale mode. It really does make the tower and stairs, and even the grass stand out against the sky. Thanks again for your help!

very nice photograph, I think the inclusion of the people is not at all bad. it gave size scale to this strcture and the landscape. very nice composition, I would also like to see it in black and white, those steps and the structure will be clearly seen against the dark background.
nice shot!

Thank you Suriani, for your comment and suggestion. I thought that the tower itself looked lonely on the hill alone, but I see how the presence of people adds life.

One thing I learn about about waiting for people to clear is that it will never happen. I think this picture is good with the people in it. It makes it less lonely.
