Hey Marc,

I'm feeling honoured to get a comment from my idol. Thank you very much!

As for the gold-n-blue filter, yes, you are right. I bought this filter due to a recommend from a film-shooter friend, and immediately realized that the polarized effect was way too exegerated on digital sensors and you could not see the real effect from viewfinder, only later realized 99% of shots not acceptable. (I have shot with this filter less than 20 images so far), considerting get rid of it.

Thank you and everyone else who contributed comments here.

Sorry, I meant -2ev for the sky, not -0.2ev.

Hi Joel,

Thanks for your comment.

I don't know how you define an HDR image, but I did use digital blend in this image. The detail can be found at http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/digital-blendin g.shtml

The scene was shot at -0.67ev using spot metering aimed at water, but I also set up brackets at 1.33ev steps, so I got a -0.2ev exposure for the sky. Physical ND Grads would cause the mountain completely black. (Actually I already considered the mountain body was a tad too dark with -067ev exposure, but decided to keep it that way because a brighter mountain would reveal the messy winter foliage.
