this is simply stunning, everything works together to provide a very appealing image.

congratulations on photo of the day. I simply love the moody misty effect of this image. If this were my image I would crop to the top of the tree line to cut out the bright sky. But even with the bright sky included it is a sensational image and very well done.

Thank you Gregory and Joe. I am actually considering having this printed on metallic paper as I would expect that media to make this image really come alive. What do others think.

Thank you Liz. The effect was the result of using the exposure adjustment tool in CS2. Played around with the exposure, Offset and Gamma sliders until I got this result. The image was originally taken in RAW and converted with ACR. No other post processing was applied.

certainly an image with impact. It has a ghostly atmosphere to it. I don't think the background helps the image at all. Was this the result of using the gradient tool.

there certainly is a magical glow about this image. I love the atmosphere of this image. My only quibble is that I would have liked to see the top of the foreground tree. Well done.

This is a stunning landscape with the exception of one element. The leaves on the foreground rock present distraction and look out of place. The image would have stood well enough on it's own emrits without adding such an element.

This is simply stunning. I love the level of detail and the colours from the foreground right through to the back of the image. Beautifully captured

This is a stunning scene, however I find the green of the foreground hills to be a distraction. I would try cropping this to the snow covered hills and sky as this part of the image stands alone quite well.

a wonderful image Ron. And yes the presence of god (or whatever higher power one may recognise) is certianly evident in such images. Everything seems to have come together well in the image, exposure, the amount of blurring of the water. Very well done.

Judi, this is an incredibly stunning image. Every element in this image is perfect. I can well see why it is your "magic place" and very aptly named by your son.

Thank you for the coments, Art and Mike.
Mike, I have had the *ISTD since June last year and I absolutley love it. This pic was actually taken with the camera I had prior, the Fuji S7000.
The only prob I have with the *ISTD is dust on the sensor which has been a real bugbear for me. But on the whole, I am really happy with the picture quality.

I absolutley agree Louise, the colours in this shot are subperb. You could of course convert to B&W and retain the blue of the eyes and denim. Having said that, I love the shot as is
