Been there myself Chris but at least the equipment is cheaper your side of the pond. Maybe starve yourself just a little for that Canon 1D mk II :-)

Graham.

Good dynamic image with good colour and composition. maybe a slightly slower shutter spped would have softened the water a little more.
don't muddle through get the best gear you can afford now, you'll only regret it if you don't in the future.
regards,
Graham.

A lovely image with good composition and colour. maybe a slight crop off the foreground might focus the image a little more. make more of a panorama.
Regards,
Graham.

Hi Andrej,
no I'm not regular here anymore. Most of my effort goes into pay sites where I'm making some money selling images. Doesn't cover the cost of my equipment yet but I'm hopeful for the future.
1 eV is one exposure value, a doubling of light into the image. This is +1 on the compensation on your Canon 350D. I've missed my real friends here (yourself included)plus the brilliant shots of a few people. Keep in touch.
Regards,
Graham.

Best of luck Jimmy, sorry to see you go. We seem to have so much in common. Hope you keep taking the pictures.
Regards,
Graham.
PS if you want some near to the bone pictures just put up the images.

lovely vibrant image Mari almost like fireworks. I know that flowers are your first love (mine too) for pictures, but your portfolio has expanded greatly. I'm sorry to have been away so long but this site is too bland, everyone loves everyones pictures. Still I'm back for a while and I'll try and shake up the site a bit.
Regards,
Graham.

Hi Andrej,
I'm amazed your still here on this site. Thought I'd put one up to see what happened. Just a number of bland remarks about what I'd expected. This site has not been the same since the major change about a year ago.
Your mountain shots are still good but I thought you'd gone digital befoe I left. I like this shot the snow and aerials work well with the guy rope taking the eye into the image. Couple of minor problems, the snow is a little grey, +1eV on the compensation would have cured this. The auto-exposure adjusts for 18% grey so an increase in eV is necessary. The path on the left leads the eye out of the image but seems to come back further on. Maybe moving a bit to the left would have cured the problem.
Regards,
Graham.

Good night shot John but the dark area needs cropping out. Try to fill the frame when shooting.

Good shot Angela I love the sharp lines and geometric structure of this image. Think maybe it would look better if you reduced the size of the frame. I Would have liked to see the spiders legs just in the frame.

Graham.

Amazing Andrej I bet your calf muscles were locked solid after this. An amazing shot. I love the rolling hills and mountains in the background. Maybe a move to the left would have cut out the concrete.

I've just read your earlier message and I hope your problems have been sorted. I really feel for you on this Kriss as I had problems with my children. I think you've done all the right things so it should turn out OK.
