Hi Mike. Thanks for your comments.
I see you have similiar photos of lake steamers in your portfolio. I have attached a picture showing the steamer sailing on Lake Brienz after it had dropped us off (we were on holiday). The ice blue colour of the water in the lake is from the glacial run off from the high mountains nearby (The Eiger being the most famous). I presume that this is the same on South Island NZ. Do you live there?

Regards Jeff

Jerzy - thank you for your kind comment on my photo of the 'London ferris wheel'. I like your portfolio and especially the portraits that you have taken. They have inspired me to try to take some of my own but I am not so confident with this type of photo image just yet. However, I really liked this photo of the 'cat' which looks just like my own cat called 'Tiggy' so perhaps I will try my portrait photos on her first! ;) Regards Jeff

Mohamed - Thank you for taking time to comment on my photo of the Fisherman's hut. I really like this image which is beautifully captured and very well cropped.

Your portraiture skills are something which I would like to emulate in the future.

Hi Gul - I just love this image - its so simple yet so effective. The cat's comical face has been well framed by the pink coloured stone. Well spotted and photgraphed - regards Jeff #:O)

Hi Meg - Thanks for your image which is good. I use Roxio's software and the sharpening tool can be a little bit severe, so I use it with care. I don't think Roxio's version is as good as PS and I will think about upgrading. - Regards Jeff :)

Cathy - thanks for your coments on my wise old owl photo VMA :)

I really love this underwater picture. I so wish to visit the barrier reef and view the spectacular marine life as you obvisouly have. Did you use a special underwater camera here or was it was one of the cheaper models that are now on the market?

Regards Jeff ;)

Meg - thanks for your coments and advice.

I have revisted the photo and tried to digitally enhance it with more contrast etc. (I posted original photo as it was produced by camera with only cropping carried out and maybe I was a bit too hasty in uploading the photo). Here is the revised photo wich I think may be better!

Hi Laurie - just uploaded an image on UF and noticed this photo of yours which caught my eye. It is so surreal, with the contrast between the natural and man made environmnet brought together by the sunset. A great spot and well captured. regards Jeff #)

Hi Annemette - thanks for your kind comments on my photo of the owl. You are right it is a very beautiful bird and I was lucky in that the owl was part of a flying show for birds of prey at the zoo. After the show the handlers allowed the audience to view some of the birds at close qauters, so I was able to take some lose up pictures of the owl as it sat on the handlers arm. I may post some more of the photos I took later. Regards Jeff #)

Hi - Jeff Crowder here from Glossop, near to Manchester. It's cold and wet here at the momemt - no change there then ;)

Thanks for taking time out to view and comment on my portfolio. I am still a raw novice at this photo game, but I am greatly inspired by your own portfolio, which is so incredibly varied and professionaly shown :)

I realy like this image that you have captured. It is so simple but yet so strong in its visual impact. I often shy away from photographing people, as I am not confident of creating a worthwhile image. Hopefully this will lead me to experiment a little more.

Regards Jeff :)

Hello Viola - thanks for taking time to look at and make nice comments on my Lake District landscape photo

This is a very powerful and very disturbing image that you have captured of mankind's mis-treatment of our beautiful earth. I certainly would not like to drink the poor cow's milk

Hi Elizabeth. I realy like this action shot that you have captured. The colours and image are sharp and the action interesting.

I too am soccer mad. I help coach a youth soccer team here in the UK and have posted some action shots of the team on UF. You might care to take a look. Regards Jeff

Hello Wouter - TY for your comments on my Brixham harbour photo. VMA

I see from your own portfolio that you like to take portrait shots and I really like this one. I think that the child's eyes and expression have been well captured and the angle of the face with the tight crop to the framed picture works so well. I must try to expand on my own portraiture shots a little more from now on.

Hi Howie - this is lovely photograph - but I think that a tighter crop might benefit the image, as my eye kept being drawn to the small gap in the trees to the right of the bride.
What do you think? - Regards Jeff #:0)

Hi Maurizio - sorry I don't live anywhere near here unfortunately! - it was a holiday visit shot - but I did take another photo earlier that morning, which shows the other side of the mount as seen from the coastal path. - Regards Jeff

Hi Monika - I just love this photo - the way you have cropped/framed the flowers makes it such a strong image and the subtle colours of the anemone flowers work so well. A deserved 7 in my opinion. Just off to view the rest of your portfolio to get some ideas on how to improve my own photgraphs of plants and flowers.

Radek - a beautiful capture of an autumnal scene - one small point - for me the border is a little too thick and bold for the subtle colours of the picture - perhaps try it again with a smaller border - regards Jeff #:0)
