Very simple and very elegant. Every time I look at these pictures, I regret that I did not come up with this obvious idea. REgards, Serge

Jan, thank you for yours comment. You are right about red trees, it's just a lucky case. I shooted this scene many times - and was unsatisfied. Important, that I did not change color of the trees. To make good photo we need the coincidence of all factors in one moment. For today Moscow the absence of the smog is extremely important, btw. Warm regards, Serge

Images with such sky must not be published, imho. I've such one, I delete it immediatelly. DD is too large here, your should measure exposition on the sky. Or - it'd be better - to frame in another way, move POV to the right and shoot columns from the right. All above is IMHO and just Because this is CC photo.
Warm regards, Serge

Interesting idea and shot, but WB is shifted to blue. I'd do WB balance separatly: for sea and sky - and for sand. Regards, Serge

In current version it`s not clear, what time of the day now. AFIU, it's sunny. In this connection I'd move WB on the buildings to warm a little. And make sky lighter, now it looks like clouds. Regards, Serge

Jan, thank you for attention and variant. Yes, I like square. Why I did not crop in square in this case: bush and tree from the rigth are superfluous and unnecessary to the plot. I'd like to eliminate them, but it's impossible due to sigle possible POV. Then, trees from the left looks visually interesting, "Italian style" (in contrast with right side). Regards, Serge

Strong impression, I like this photo. Extremely sky&clouds treatment. As a variant for discussion it's possible to contrast sky and water. I mean, make water not so contrast and saturated.

Small details could be interesting like big ones and anything else. If there is something unusual, thich "catch" our attention. Then there is a contradiction in yours approach. If you're going to shot small details, this is typically "sharp everythging", without games with Depth of field. If you're using DOF, it's already not about details, but about portrait, stills, etc. Then for such photos you need best lens (with beautiful picture) and carefull post treatment. In yours case lens is quite moderate. And treatment a little bit "acidic".
Of course, everything above is IMHO:) Regards, Serge
