Ok there was a soft box in front of her set on about 1/2 a stop and stobe behind her with no cover set on full stop and a smoke machine to the side to diffuse the light. The whole golden skin thing wasnt photoshopped like that it just happened, I think it is because the light behind her was spilling into the foreground to feel her completely with light.

Well I used to do the whole model realise thing but then I just noticed it scared the models off a bit, so now I just have verbal agreements with them, I have somewhere on my site saying I would like to use the photos for my own publicity or whatever, and they dont care they just love seeing there face around everywhere anyways.
Alot of the girls I shoot I build strong realationship with so they no Im not going to post anything nasty of them or whatever.

they pay me most of the time, but if there is something I wanna try I do it for free and give them prints and there more than happy to help me out.

susan, many thanks for the reply i find it very useful to learn techniques and how to maximize the usage of one lens. at the moment i haven't done any studio work, mostly outdoor types but this is something i want to learn in the future. you have a very impressive portfolio.btw, do you pay these models or they pay you to shoot them?
