Well you're right with the tripod. The Horizon isn't also very good in standard crystal clear and crispy landscapes. It's more of a fun cam to play around.
This was my first picture, and there is more experimental stuff to come.

maybe even a partially desaturated version would work to enhance the contrast between the Coke and the rest...

I like this street shot. good overall composing with the placement of the coke. I'm not sure if you intended the red overdosis, but maybe a mild reduction of the red channel would even enhance the image.
