That's a scary place... and you did very well with the BW mode here. Great exposure.

Nice closeup here. I like the inclusion of the open area in the upper part.

Hi Tutku,

unfortunately, the street was very narrow so I didn't have much oportunities with the angle =)

Hi Jason,

another winner in your portfolio. The sky is tremendous, and I like the idea to just include hints of the houses. They look a bit dark on my monitor though.

best wishes,

That's what I call a dead end =)

Nice work on DOF and textures. Maybe a bit more room on the upper part would increase the effect a tad. But just a minor nitpick here.

Hi Erik,

I really appreciate your high key approach here. The contrasts are superb, so is the color and the DOF. Great work my friend.

Hi Andre,

I like this perspective more as it shows more detail of the roots. Your BW conversion is pretty well done my friend. Overall a nice one.

Hi Jeanette,

this one is also architecture rock'n'roll with the natural framing and the mixture of color planes. nice work!

Hi Jeanette,

wow, this is awesome. The neckbreaker perspective and the clarity within the reflection is great. Maybe an even more wideangle lens would make this image more dramatic.

Hi Roger,

you're right: I'm glad you did the picture even with a shallow focus. It's really a nice spy shot and shows me your current world.

Hi Hugo,

You're right with several things.. =)

I removed the yellowish glow. And the shutter was not 1s, but 1/2. With 10mm, you may be able to do that. No tripod here, I would remember that because this image was done after a 12 hour foto marathon =)

Thanks for the indepth critique.

Hi George,

a fine landscape picture my friend. I tend to think that this would work in BW as well. Anyway, the subject is the thing!

Hi Kiarang,

so we both seem to enjoy a staff choice these days ;-) (thanks for the kind comment, btw)

This one is very well deserved because of the simplicity which is always much harder to realize than the "crowded" pictures (IMHO). I really like the single cloud above the boat and the shades of blue in here. Perfect capture.

best wishes

Hi Peta,

your photographic loot seems to be very attractive =) I really like this architecture abstract, and this subject would be something I would definitely spend some time there =) Great pile of lines, and your title is just perfect =)

Hi Hugo,

well, what a great vision to combine different styles and then to merge these ideas into a single image. 10/10 for the idea.

Regarding the image, Saeed mentioned the point that I've seen, too. The differences in focus hinder the image to be seen as an "organic" one. The manipulation is obvious there. But anyway, I like the dynamics in this picture a lot. The alternate color style from Michael is something that gives the image a different thrill which I appreciate.

Hi Roger,

great street shot and very good detail. a mild pity is that there is a man behind the woman with a cut-off head. anyway, nice work and a view to a world I don't know.
