In my opinion, taking away the colors does not necessarily mean taking away strong feelings. You always manage to describe it inscribe them by taking the contoures, he light or intensity.
Some other times, adding some nuances of color is the trigger for a new intrigue, a new question or raises a bit of curiosity. Or just inspiration.
