Hi Laura,
well this memorial is dedicated to the revolution in 1956.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_Revolution _of_1956)

The hight of the poles mixed from 1m-3m. Where i took teh picture they where around 2m high. The whole monument is like a hedgehog....
