Thanks, Hugo. I also saw your note on the sunset image and I agree. Not sure where the noise came from. Must have occurred in the upload process, since it's not in the original image. Oh well, some work, some don't. I appreciate your keen eye and thoughtful observations. Jim

Near Sturbridge Village, in a 150-year old farmhouse. We lived there for 3 years. My father (who was an automotive engineer) had been transferred to a post in Springfield. We came back to Detroit in the late 50s, and we've been here ever since.

Chris,
I am especially honored by your comments, since I am a real admirer of your work. Your portfolio is gorgeous. Living in the Great Lakes Region all my life (except for a few years in Mass.) I relate very strongly to your nautical subject matter.
Thanks again, and I look forward to staying in touch.

Hi John! This is exactly how I would have pictured your part of the world right now...brutally cold. Great shot of the Leaning Tower of Warkworth. Well, I moved over here, as you can see. I'm getting accustomed to navigating around now, and feeling a bit more comfortable with it. Amazing quantity of excellent work here (a bit intimidating, I must say). Thanks for the tip about Usefilm. I noticed that Charlotte (the yoush) has an account here now too, but I haven't seen anybody else. Let me know if you run into any other refugees from Fotolog. Have a great weekend.
