thank you for your comment! i saw the arabic name was alhamra, they have it written in arabic at the entrance (i've studied arabic for a couple years so i could read it) and i was definitely wondering why they added the b in the spanish name... although i never thought about the fact that its the word for red! so thank you for that info!

Congratulations on the photo's being Editor's Choice, Kessia. It's very well deserved. Funny, but it makes me think of an artist's rendition of what life on an alien planet might look like. The colors pop wonderfully.

I'm so glad this made it on the front page because I might have missed it otherwise. What a terrific photo. I love the magical fairy-light that just makes it all glow, especially the 'star' at the center.

wow, amazing architectural structure, very well seen and composed. The sky background colour is fantastic!!
ON the second look, I would consider cropping the top part with the plants off - that would make it more mysterious..

The macro detail and colurs are just amazing... I am glad I came upon it, will put in the favourites to admire - and follow? 
How did you manage to get such detail, I see you didnt use the macro lens? I always have a problem with getting things sharp without them..
