I like it. The cropping works well here. Nice with the wooden background. Very natural, no posing.. Good work!

Thanks Warren!

I had like 2 minutes to get the shot, got in position just before sunset and caught a glimpse of the silhouette. I kinda like it.

Yeah, I know. The title contradicts the photo, but I got "Three" by Massive Attack stuck on my mind

Thanks for the comment!

Good work. I wish I had those window instead of my modern ones. Beautiful.

January: No. The background is far far away, it's taken 30 meters above the ground and the background is the runway of an airport.

Underbar bild, har velat göra en sån länge men inte lyckats. Fick du jobba länge för att få till den rätt?

Thanks. I think the vignetting is an optical illusion, i can't remember there beeing any particular shadows that day.

Hmm. Who should I place against the wall. I'll have to think about it.

Thanks Lori, I found this image while trying to capture the house that's in one of my other pictures. Nice pictures in your portfolio!

Thanks SO much! Out of the 24 pictures i shot that day, this is the one that came out best.

(i have a bunch of keepers on the computer, the best ones are from her birthday last month - before and after pictures of her birthday cake) *messy*

Here is the full crop. As you can see, I removed the tree and cloned some more sky onto the posted crop. Now, is this the way to go or do YOU see other possibilities?

Nice image, shame about the blur. Looks like it's distorted by the lens, try tele mode and cropping.

Love the grain and the great shadow/hilight balance. Which film / camera / developer did you use?

Thanks for the comment. I'd never developed technical pan before and that's probably why it's blown out. The image is raw except from the tint.

Coming back to this image and looking at it again, I feel that I'm pretty happy with it, it's definately one of my better images and the lack of composition isn't really an issue, the colours and the purity of it more than compensates.

Jim: Nah, I get your point, I should have moved quite a lot to the right so as to have the path leading up to the hill forming a diagonal instead. I'll go there and do it again this weekend. I really appreciate your comment!

I DO know that filters don't make the image but IMHO it can really improve one sometimes

Betsy, Amna, Ifte, thanks a lot!

Aenout, the minimal DOF is what my lens gives me in this angle.

Ah.

Antonio: I used available light plus a 420 EX that I bounced off the wall, didn't want hard light on her face.

Spencer: Thanks, you are right, I see the point about the chair. It would have been better with a diffuse background. I'll try to do this outdoors or in another setting.

Thanks for the comments!
