I am so fascinated of taking pictures of old door & windows in the Middle East. I have managed to get several shots of different styles during my traveling Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. I have seen this model in the city of Hofuf (East of Saudi Arabia) ? I have not seen the same work in the old part of the City of Jeddah. I guess I can understand that the close geographical distance between Bahrain & Hofuf has left such identity in the work. Very good picture Ned! Cheers.

This kind of stuff I like.
But I prefer to compose it off-kilter, personally, as you can see from my photos. The reason being, it makes my eyes move, and makes me think about what I could do with it, or what I could do next.
