Brilliant Shot. Just love it.
First its as a very good B&W feel to it.
Second i like the depht reflected on the window.
And third you were able to capture such a musical talent.

Great street shot Lars.

You're right, Angelo, I can be seen in the window glass. And of course I did give him some change, I guess he made quite a lot of money that day...

Great stark image, Lars. Good luminosity and tones, considering the film used.

Have you found the other Germans on UF? There's quite a few... very creative bunch, in my experience.

Have you ever had problems with taking photos in the Underground? Ever been stopped etc?

Hi again Angelo,

Yes, you're absolutely right - an assistant especially with this kind of camera would have been amazing but no, I was travelling all by myself.
Luckily this was an "alighting only"-platform on the DLR and at this time of the day trains are coming only all 10 minutes or so. Time enough for me to take another quick shot without any humans on it.
This time I used a monopod (you know these "tripods" with only one leg?) which makes taking photos in this position a lot easier.
Unfortunately you need a permission to take professional photos on the tube (which I didn't have) - and this kind of camera looks quite professional though I'm not a professional photographer...

Hi Angelo,

Thanks for your comment! Actually it took me ages to get a photo with no human being on it - as you probably know the tube is always crowded with people no matter what time of the day it is.

As far as I remember this photo was taken without a tripod because the position of the camera didn't allow one but with a high speed film like the Delta 3200 that's quite okay!

Yes, that's still in London - but I cannot remember where it was taken... :-(

Nice work.

Very good work to get low and use the low angle for this shot.

I like the symmetry. I don't like the rist you took, getting so close to the tracks. I hope you had a friend/assistant to tell you if a train was coming!

Lovely composition, Lars. I like the way you placed the diagonal origins in the corners. For me, it just lacks a huma figure somewhere near the convergence point.

This looks like Bank or Liverpool St station.

Nice grain. But... by heck! Are you going around hand-dolding this beast of a camera???

Don't get to see this place so deserted very often! You've achieved a very dynamic image from something so familiar, with those converging lines, light and tones, shrouded by wonderful curves.
