Hayri, I would agree with John about the "ghost" in the center of the photo, it is rather distracting. This photo possesses wonderful tones and tells why so many have been drawn to a life on the seas. Thank you for posting another outstanding photo.

Jamie, I like the subject, but I would like to see some refinement. I would crop out the 2nd swan and center the composition on the rainbow and closer swan. The colors seem a little washed and could use some saturation perhaps. A fill flash on the closer swan would also make him pop out some more. You have a wonderful raw shot here that you can really do something with I think.

I like this! I am usually not a fan of IR shots, they tend to always be the same subjects. I like the effect of the IR on this subject, giving it a rather "ghostly" appeal. Thank you for you comment.

Very striking model! I like the shadows... really adds a dramatic effect. I think the top is cropped to tight.

Wonderful photo of a beautiful woman. I like the composition, the lighting and the focus. The three fingers distract me a little. I like the wry smile and the fact that she is not looking at the camera.

I too would like the focus a little crisper on the main bloom, nice colors and creative composition

Wonderful colors and mood attached to this photograph. I like the star/moon? in the sky... perhaps it's a departed soul looking on the scene.

Simon, wonderful capture! Great detail captured in the neck feathers and on the signets. I also like the composition, a frame might have been nice, but not required. Please look at my swan shots Motherhood and Motherhood II... if you like this subject.

I agree with Sue... great nature/technology contrast, also great action capture.

This one is tough for me... I like the subject and it has a great mood to it. I like to see the detail in boat shots and it isn't present here, just too dark for me. Maybe some fill.

Overall a very pleasing photo. I like the limited tonal range and the fact that the light trails almost match the sky colors. I would like more sharpness and perhaps the detail in the skt to be more evident.

The little man in the big serious world... great emotional appeal. I also like the tonal range.

Thank you for your comments... I was looking through your portfolio and there are so many great shots I was having a difficult time picking one for comments. My son (2 1/2 years old) was on my lap and loved this portrait... he's a major Jungle Book fan. It's a very fun portrait... thank you from me & my son.

Amazing what you can create your scanner and your mind. How did you come to this process? You definitly have and artistic creativeness that I admire. Wonderful composition and elegant framing.

Jim... another amazing shot! I would really like to know more technically. I'm using the same camera, but my shots are anywhere near this yet. Look forward to seeing more.

You have many wonderful portraits in your portfolio, this included. They show a great personal interaction with the subject. I think the borders are detracting from the appeal though, making a timeless portrait appear computer-aged.

Wonderful shot, 2 things: 1) the shorter piling should either be totally out or more prominent, and 2) I am undecided about the borders, just seems to distract from the subject... my humble opin.

Nice composition and good dof. Good colors but, lacking some "punch". The flowers in the background do detract from the main subject a little. Overall, a good shot.

beautiful b&w floral... I like the framing of the shot, good contrast, a very elegant presentation of a common subject. I don't care much for the borders, I would rather see more of the flowers

like the contrast and the view is nicely different, the composition could be good but the crop is hurting it.

Nice shot using the available light. The model is attractive and the composition is good. It may have been interesting to crop/frame with the edge of the column behind her as the right photo edge and see more of the column in front of her... almost as if she were pushing her way into the shot.

Great tonal range and a very engaging subject. Depth of focus is perfect. I think I would have like to see his whole ear, but very minor detail... outstanding work!

nicely done, I agree with the comment of the branch being cut off, and also I would like a little more focus... that may be my monitor, the compression, or lack of focus. Very Good!

eerie... tough subject, but great vision. I like the highlighted road signs in the background... adds to the story being told. Woman's eyes appear odd, I would correct that.
