Full of interesting little cameos. Reminds me of Cartier-Bresson. I just wish there was a bit more room in the frame and the womans foot was not cropped.

I like this David. I too am a fan of old shop windows. Maybe taken at a different time of the day to lose the bright highlights would be cool. Regards John

I like this but feel it would be improved by inclusion of all the box holding the silverware. Regards John

You lucky bugger. I have been following the activity of sunspot 798 on Spaceweather and so far we have missed out on the great display here in the Southern Hemisphere. Cool shot and must be wonderful to be there on the night. Cheers John

Thanks Scott. The Black Swan is a native of Australia. I think they were originally imported into New Zealand in the 19th century and have now spread far and wide. We don't have many white Swans here. It would be nice to have a mix of both. Just looking through your portfolio. Some amazing scenes. How do you like the DX2? I have been tempted but could not justify the cost at the moment.

I like the detail in the stretched wing feathers and the claws wrapped around the branch. Just a close crop of that part could make for an interesting abstract. Nice work with a whole lotta lens Darlene. Regards John

I like these intimate detail shots from inside old buildings. Maybe the white areas are just a little too hot, but easy to correct.

If you have Photoshop, judicious use of the correct perpsective function does wonders for straightening up the odd angles of the window frame and stand. Regards John

Nice contrast and colours. The reflections in the pond make for a more interesting composition. Pity you do not have a slightly wider angle lens. Cheers John

Another fine picture Stephen. I like your use of the space within the frame. Good exposure and post processing. Do you shoot in raw or jpeg?

Great feeling of isolation Carol. The use of the space in the frame and placement of the house? makes for a pleasing composition. Maybe a slight darkening of the sky would add a little more drama. Regards John

This has to best one of the best macro wildlife pictures I have seen. The composition, colour and detail is superb Ronnie. Were you an Entomologist in a former life? I get the feeling from looking at you pictures that you have a great empathy with the natural world and your chosen subjects.

Thanks for posting such inspirationa work. Makes me want to keep trying. Regards John
