Good detail, good color, good depth of field, good title. Sounds like a great field study. Nice work.

Nice macro. I like the contrast of the yellow pollen on the purple pedals.

Wow. I never even noticed the plane. You're right it does balance it out. The clouds presence is so strong the other elements are barely noticeable. Good work. --Todd

Great image! Love the infrared filter on this one. I'll have to get one for my Nikon. Train tracks are a classic, but you've twisted it into an original. Excellent clouds. You chose a good moment. Regards. --Todd

Great sky shot. Love the backlit clouds. The power lines could be slightly distracting to some from the "clean" sky image, but I barely noticed myself. Nice color.

Nice catch. I think it would work well cropped as well.

Nice photo. I love the ominous feeling and contrast of the clouds and sun and the positions of the cows exactly 90 degrees from each other. Good color. Surreal.

This is a very good composition, however, I agree that the image needs some work. It is quite overcast with grey which is typical of digital scans or photos sometimes. I am also a fan of levels but I also finish off using curves to tweek the image just the way I like it. I think Jim's rendition has removed the "cloud" and corrected the color. I personally would brighten up the colors a bit but I think it's important not to over do it. Eric's rendition in my opinion has stepped over the reality line as he admits himself. I think the green got layed on a little heavy in this one. Somewhere in the middle is where I like to be. Since everyone else had their hand at this, I couldn't resist adding my personal touch. That way you'll have 4 variations of the same photo to choose from. Color is subjective to the viewer, however, the "cloud" should be removed regardless and can be done quite easily by bringing your triangles to the edge of the histogram in levels. Just make sure your numbers all match in R, G, and B modes, otherwise your color correction will be off. This is probably the longest critique I've written in a while, but I love tigers, so...

Beautiful photograph. However, the fisheye lens turns the mountain a little too much in my opinion. Is that nitpicking? Anyways, the exzposure and composition are great. No blowout in the sky and good detail throughout. regards --Todd

Beautiful b/w work. A penthouse of outhouses. I like the humorous title too. Great detail in the outhouse. I don't understand the loss of detail in the grass to the left though, unless its the scan. In answer to your question: It is some sort of moss that grows on stones. You'll find quite a bit of it if your ever hiking 1700 ft up one of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. That's where I found this fine speciman. regards --Todd

I like the idea but the branches up top are a little distracting. I like the composition but I think the darks are a little too dark. It looks like this would be hard to catch all the variation of lighting given the time of day. A little dodging and burning might help this shot but then you might lose some of the contrast which actually helps the composition. a conundrum. regards --Todd

Very artistic. I like the mood and the colors. I also like the focus on the girl while the musician seems oblivious, lost in his music making. The texture of the ground is great and the seclusion adds to the mood. Nice work. regards --Todd

Very provocative. Dramatic lighting and pose work to convey the meaning of the photo. The tussled hair over the face gives a careless/hopeless feeling along with the loose grip on her (her lovers?) shirt. Good work. Regards --Todd

Great lighting, color and composition. Just starting to lose detail on the bottom left, but could be my monitor. Tells a good story. Regards --Todd
