This is nice with the bee in his environment but I think if u wanted more detail getting closer for more detail would help.

u caught me :P I actually can't remember all the details but i did change the hue and a few other things but when you reversed it back to negative it came out pretty much the same as the orginal.

Hi Stuart...if you keep turning the polarizer (if it is a circular one) you will see the glare off the water fade in and out....making it transparent as u stated. If u wanted to adjust the colors in camera a warming filter(81a gets tossed around alot as a good one) as well as the polarizer do help add the the saturation as well...the polarizer will darken some areas considerable as well. As far as sharpness goes matching your shutter speed to your focal length when handling a large lense will help significantly.
I like the nice soft even lighting you have here and the smoothness of the water. Keep em coming.
