yeah i agree with the crop.. the picture is beautiful.. i loved the angle and composition.. try playing around with PS... add colors to the clouds for more dramatic effect... but without colors it's beautiful as well..

only over exposed if you think of studio portraits. this is real life camera work. you captured all the elements of a wonderful portrait. her eyes are sharp and her gaze is absolutely wonderful. there is texture and context for this photograph. i hope you left it just the way it was. it was already good enough.

i think it's magnificent in being extremely unique. a photographer is best described as taking a moment in time and capturing it in somewhat of an unique way that makes the mind tick. everyone sees something differently and i think for this shot you did superb.

Thanks Ashley,
this is using a technique called Panning. Choose a relitively slow speed - try with 1/30th and 1/60th and follow the horse in the viewfinder as it approaches the jump. When its at the position you want, click the shutter release. it should be a smooth action and you should keep the camera trained on the horse even after shooting (like a cricket bat after hitting the ball)
hope it helps

I ride jumpers....I LOVE this photo...i take pictures of my friends all the time. I've been wanting to try one like this (I usually set my shutter to 1/1000 and get nice crisp shots) but have no idea how to get one like this. could you tell me how you did it (shutter etc)
Thanks

"Insect porn"...please!!! This is what is widely known in most circles as "nature". Sex is a natural thing...perhaps it is your view of it that's distorted to come up with such a classification.

Very, very nice. Makes me want to go to Moscow and try it myself. How did you do this? Cut the exposure time in half or something to avoid overexposure of the overall picture?

Thanks David,
It was in Photoshop, but really very very simple to do. I figured that the red is the most important part of the picture, and so would benefit from being emphasised, and the skin tone would even complement it is increased too.

Awesome colors Halid...Did u use Photoshop to pump up contrast or was it something to do with the film processing?..This pic really grabs attention...

Excellent managment of circle over circle, almost "fetoid" image, as a newborn image !!,as a new creation of two in one..,good exposure reading, doubles are always risky.
Congratulations.
