About: i'm not very interested in "good pictures," which seem to fade from memory almost as soon as one looks away. instead, i'm trying to figure out how to make pictures that resonate more deeply, become memories and even icons in memory. some images, usually portraits, pornography, or war photos, attain this quality simply because they depict an emotionally charged reality. but even among these, there are pictures that stand out and remain in the mind, become iconic. it's that kind of image that i'm trying to produce: an iconic image. hence, the criticism that interests me most is whether my work approaches this ideal, and why it does or does not.
IMPORTANT NOTE: i do not rate members' pictures. ratings discourage risk taking and foster groupthink.
