Great shot Gary. The land looks so warm against the cold snow and clouds in the background. Well done. Andrea

A beautiful scene and even nicer if you're not ankle or knee deep in it I would think. Lovely shot of the snow peaked mountains but are they blocking any spectacular scenery on the other side? Very nice clarity given by the camera Gary. Great shot.
Cheers - Ann :)

Gary, even with a DSLR you still want to have a small camera for those days when you don't want to lug all that equipment. I really liked the Optio, impressive image quality. My Canon Rebel let me down twice in less than 2 years, and now it's in the repair shop - after 10,000 pictures - that's why my travel pictures were all done with a 4MP Panasonic.

Hi Ina, yes I have been overall impressed by the small size and great quality of the camera... not so sure it compares to film yet, but it didn't cost a whole lot... one day I will take the plunge into digital slr's... but not just yet!! remember, the least expensive information storage system with the most megapixels is... FILM!! hahaha Cheers, Gary

that's funny, Eb... yep, that snow line can be pretty sneaky!! If i was to be taking that picture now, I'd be standing in ankle (or deeper) snow!! Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful and majestic mountains! Love the low clouds and the snow capped massive Rocky Mountains. Great foreground too! I noticed the camera you've used - I tried it and I was quite amazed at the quality of that lens. Great clarity!

Gary, looks like a familiar scene, although I have not been in the East Kootenays for a while. That snow line reminds me of a funny story. A few years ago my wife, exclaimed from the valley floor, on how low the snow line had come on the mountains. This was said while she was standing angle deep in snow. Eb
