About After posting photos of gigantuous red rocks and space shuttles I thought I'd come back down to earth and post a photo from beautiful Yosemite National Park. This photo isn't a highly recognised famous or popular photographic location in Yosemite but I really liked this pretty river scene. There are many such places throughout Yosemite National Park. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you to all who take the time to view and comment on this or any of my other images.

Cheers all

Ann :)

What a rough and rugged looking photo. I bet you had to buy another pair of hiking boots when you got done here from wearing them out. Wonderful colors.

there's more to the valley that Half Dome and El Capitain :-)

the whole place has an other-worldly feel to it, priobably the white and greys of the granite. You've got that shown really well at the top of the shot - the strange texture of the stone comes through really well.

Also the miniscule trees.... well so they look! Amazing to think that those match sticks are hige trees in reality!

the stream tops it off with a bit of life ande movement.

Class stuff

Gorgeous Ann! I was at Yosemite...let's see...some 27 years ago and wasn't into photography. I think I would go crazy there now. :) Another beautiful addition to your Yosemite series. The colors are just perfect and you always pick just the right composition. Well done!

Oh dear Ann!
Too bad you've come down with a cold!
You know the old remedy, a shot of cognac in hot tea before going to bed, don't forget to sneak under a blanket. My warm love would top it all and you'll find yourself back on your feet again the next morning,i promise! If there is any thing else i could do just call out my name!!
And about Mundh's message through you,i replied it through Cytte on your space so i hope to get an answer.
Thanks for your consideration,
and
Get well soon!
Love,
baha

Hi Baha...I don't mind if you ask cytte anything you like anywhere you like. I doubt cytte will see it though if you send it to me. Why don't you post the question directly onto one of mundh's photos then he'll receive the notification email directly. Otherwise try posting the question to cytte via reply directly to him. I haven't seen mundh around for quite a while now either.

I'll be AWOL for a few as I'm sick with a cold. Spending very little time online. Just to check emails. I'll be back online when I feel better.

Cheers mate - Ann :)

I like this photo so much: the clarity is very good, and also it gives us the idea about 'the contact' with nature! very nice shot. Cheers, Marco

Hmm, let's try that again, shall we.....

Dear Ann - this sure is an unusual scene of Yosemite! It is a tricky shot becasue of the huge contrasts.

Normally, you would take a spot reading from the large forground rock and bring up the teees later to prevent washout.

Still a wonderful place and paradise for photographers. I've attached a PS 'fix' that attempts to do just this. See what you think.

Wonderful!!
The Mounatain look like a metal with pait(not yet dried), and the green trees with the big metal rock makes a unique and very perfect landscape.

welldone.

What an amazing capture here again, Ann!!
I love the cloud against the rocks adding some kind of mistery to the photo and this bunch of red grass on the left. Of course it's only a detail but to me all these little things make a photo even more interesting.
When looking at these monstrous rocks, it's as if I would stand in front of them.
Very well done, Ann!!!!
Thanks for all your nice comments on my pics...appreciate a lot!
Regards,
Mireille

Now this is where I'm debating about going this week. I wanted to go to Death Valley also this year. Take care of Christmas first for my family then see what's left as far as money. I can do Yosemite in a day for I don't live that far from there. Excellent photograph and capture.

Geat shot Ann. The only thing I can see wrong with this is the water Fall is wash out. Looks over exposed..

Maybe croping it out???

It is a beautiful scene indeed! I think the fog/cloud behind the trees sets off the trees on the near hill nicely and also helps to show that the second hill is much further away. Without it the trees might just run together as one green area. The background cliffs also give a sense of depth as seen with the foreground river boulders.
