Hi Cathy,
to answer your question I am not much of a tech type photographer really. Mostly I use the histogram on the Nikon D70 to get the highest possible F stop and then get the fastest shutter speed that I can without blowing out the sky. On this shot I did not have a ND grad filter so I underexposed the foreground so that the sky had the right exposure, then lightened up the foreground in PS to balance out the whole composition. I also only shoot handheld that is why i want a fast shutter speed. Not sure if this helps but if you have more questions ...just ask.
Cheers, Tim

How do you get such clarity in your images? You don't give any hints with shutter or aperture. I am new to this digital medium ( and loving it) but I cannot produce anything like this. CC

Wow..this is a jawdropper. DOF, colors, composition, foreground elements and reflection all really well done. The horizon is kinda centered, but the elements in the water in the foreground split up the two sections enough.
Cheers, Chris

I would freeze to have the chance to paddle on such a breathtaking lake such as this one. Another absolutley stunning scene from BC. Tim would you mind posting the settings used to take this photo. I'd love to know what you did to get such wonderful clarity. Another into my favourites. Thanks. Cheers - Ann :)
