About An amazing place where buildings are carved into rock. A 5 hour drive from Amman. A 1 hour walk through rock canyons to this spot (on top of a 30 minute donkey ride before that).

Yes Mr Millam, Very true - went to but never returned. That camel there bit him in a very sensative area and he bleed to death on the spot. This is why there haven't been any new Indiana Jones films for ages. Sharp eye to notice, Mark PS. when you gonna put up some Canon D20 shots? - wanna see what that baby can do :~>

Very interesting posts (these last two). One in BW and the other in warm colored hues. One taken with -- I'm assuming the long end of the zoom you had -- and this one taken with a fisheye. Different renditions of the same country... both presented very well.

I'm sure Petra was a blast... you are very fortunate for some of the places you've been able to visit and I'm glad you had your camera gear to keep you company... thanks much for sharing your work with us.

Yeah, that's me during my "Surf Dude" period but that was in kind of a different era. I think FDR was Prez. (I am now in my "Freaked Out Traveler" period which is kinda like surfing in a way cause you never know where and when you're gonna Wipe Out (maybe for good) with the way the insane world is going - umm, ha) Nice to hear from you Ms Erin. PS Pretty face? Oh yeah? how about a fun getaway weekend in sunny Mustique then? Too Soon? How's Dinner sound? Well, OK.... Lunch? Maybe, ah,... Breakfast at iHOP? :~>..let me know.....

Hi Mark,

Fantastic golden image. You really traveled a bit to get to this wonderous place, worth it for sure.

Fisheye provides an interesting effect, I'm sure it would look great no matter what lense you used.

LOVE that camel, he blends right in.

Very nice image,
Lori :)

ps....Hope all is well with you, (and your place in Paris??) Unbelievable what is happening over there. Is the world ready to self-destruct? :(

Thanks Q, yeah I have been lucky and appreciate being able to see so much but I also think with all the craziness going on (and getting worse all the time) my luck may be running out fast. Let's hope this crazy violence stops somehow (don't have a clue as to how that could happen but someone has to have an idea on a planet of 6.5 billion) Thanks for stopping by, Mark

Great place. I've never been there myself, but I've heard many great things about it. You are a lucky man to have travelled so much, Mark! Thanks for posting !!
